Wheeler Dealers returns in May with 8 new episodes - MotoringBox - according to Motoringbox

Like many fans of Wheeler Dealers, I was disappointed last year when Edd announced that he was leaving the show, and I was concerned that a new mechanic on the show would result in a drop in quality. However I’ve watched the entire first half of season 14 and the first few episodes of the 2nd half of season 14 over here on Velocity in the US, and I’m now confident that Ant is a worthy successor to Edd. Sure, Ant is different in his delivery and mannerisms, but in terms of his mechanical knowledge and his ability to convey that knowledge there’s no drop in quality from when Edd was on the show.

Wheeler Dealers: Mike Brewer's quest to upgrade to a supercar - Metro - by Metro

‘The car was so awful I needed divine intervention, so I took it to a holy man to bless it. Then I played the rapidly growing middle-class market and advertised it in a respected newspaper. Low and behold, the phone literally rang off the hook. I sold it two days later to a retired couple buying their first-ever car.’

The episode in question, which airs on Monday October 6th, sees Mike Brewer and Edd China restore a classic veteran Darracq. Once renovated, the aim is to drive the Darracq successfully from London to Brighton, starting at 6am. Mike and Edd have to tackle heavy traffic; steep ascents and descents with an aging engine; inevitable breakdowns and against the clock roadside fixes.
