Nigella Lawson to make BBC comeback with 'de-stressing' cookery show Simply Nigella - - by Express

The BBC said in a statement of the programme: “With feasts for special occasions sitting alongside tasty every day meals, Simply Nigella will deliver a true sense of balance between lightness and lushness."

Review: Simply Nigella, Simply Dysphoria - The London Economic - per Thelondoneconomic

On balance, the show does offer some moments of respite from all this general hysteria. There is peace in the dysphoric realm of flora we can assume is the garden. This is where our heroine lavishly languishes in luxury – a hallucinogenic dreamscape of jungles and groundbreaking levels of soft-focus. And that’s perhaps the only advice to give for watching this show: consume something extra-curricular in preparation.

Simply Nigella, BBC Two - The Arts Desk - according to Theartsdesk

This series features the sort of quick but wholesome recipes that can be rustled together after a tiring day at the office. (Presumably Nigella has friends who can tell her what those are like.) And in fairness, the recipes look good: simple but flavoursome ingredients, and even simpler techniques involving much use of aforementioned fingers, both in the preparation and eating. The lamb ribs with cumin used a neglected ingredient in an imaginative way. It was difficult to be sure, given the copious soft-focus on her in-laws enjoying the result, but they looked delicious. These recipes are so simple Nigella runs the risk of not selling the books.
