ITV reveals if Vera starring Brenda Blethyn will return for a 10th series - via Digitalspy
Returning alongside Blethyn are Kenny Doughty (DS Aiden Healy), Jon Morrison (DC Kenny Lockhart), Riley Jones (DC Mark Edwards), Ibinabo Jack (DC Jacqueline Williams), and Paul Kaye (Dr Malcolm Donahue).

The drama series is produced by Silverprint Pictures and stars Brenda Blethyn, Kenny Doughty, Jon Morrison, Riley Jones, Ibinabo Jack and Paul Kaye. Season nine averaged a consolidated audience of 7.9 million viewers.

Geordie has flat, short vowels, FLAT not warped and drawn And that appalling squeaky attempt at the North tyneside verbal style, which makes "vera" sound in need of a liquid cosh, and or as if she's suffering a terminal throat problem. Maybe she not a movie star but I think that's her advantage because people who have heard of her know her mostly by her work and that is the way it is supose to be. PLEASE get a voice coach who's at least visited Tyneside. Last night was even usual. PLEASE get a voice coach who's at least visited NORTH Tyneside, ( and LEEDs is NOT North or else be ready for a class action for the wilful injury of a well known dialect.
