The Mindy Project: 5 Best (And 5 Worst) Episodes | ScreenRant - Screen Rant - via Screenrant

It’s bold to have an episode in a sitcom barely feature the title character. In this one-off episode, Danny and Morgan head out on a road trip to visit Danny’s ailing father. It probably served as a way for Mindy Kaling to get a much-needed break.

New Year, New Do! Chris Messina Goes Platinum Blond for 2019 Golden Globes Red Carpet - via People

Messina plays Detective Richard Willis in the show, which follows Adams as a reporter who returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder and winds up confronting the psychological demons from her past.

'The Mindy Project's Chris Messina Just Debuted BLEACH Blond Hair At The Golden Globes - Bustle - via Bustle

Fans of Messina's character Danny, though, may no longer recognize the actor. On the Golden Globes red carpet, which took place on Jan. 6, the actor debuted bleach blond hair, and to say it was shocking would be an understatement. In fact, it's almost difficult to recognize the actor. The power of hair, right?

Kaling in the name of: how a baby destroyed The Mindy Project's equilibrium - via Theguardian

The pilot was close to perfection, featuring a sequence where Mindy made a bitter, drunken speech at her ex-boyfriend’s wedding, stole a bike and cycled into the night, slurring: “I’m Sandra Bullock!” before falling into a swimming pool. Back on dry land, we met her romantic prospects: fellow doctors Jeremy (Ed Weeks), a posh Brit, and Danny (Chris Messina), with whom she traded sarcastic insults and shared off-the-charts chemistry. Mindy then sprang into work mode and dashed to deliver a baby, like the renaissance woman she is.

The official synopsis of the project from Kaling and fellow The Mindy Project alum Matt Warburton further reads: "Jess leaves her professional and personal life behind, in favour of travelling to England and reconnecting with old friends and ends up in the midst of their personal crises.

Ultimately, Mindy chooses herself, thus learning a whole new lesson: That just because a person might want to be in a romantic comedy doesn’t mean they always have to operate out of desperation. That model is passé. A 21st century romantic comedy should be about choices, and the person you choose to fall in love with could just be staring you back in the mirror. Colette’s engagement anxiety increases when she and Karen ask Morgan to move out of the apartment. Karen explains to Colette that marriage means less time with your friends. When Colette complains that she likes her friends, Karen replies, “Not as much as you’re gonna like sitting in our apartment talking about our relationship!” Uh-oh. Back to the present. Jeremy is holding one of his spin-off worthy office meetings when he is handsomely interrupted by the Gay Men’s Chorus of L.A. Colette is proposing to her girlfriend Karen! Karen acquiesces (coincidentally the name of my forthcoming indie movie) and the two lovebirds excitedly exit, followed out by the Gay Men’s Chorus of L.A. Mindy’s shocked to hear that Danny and Sarah have only dated for a short while. “I was seven months pregnant, and you didn’t want to propose to me,” she says quietly. “And then I really wanted to marry you and you ruined my life,” he replies. Don’t you mean, “I wanted a 1950s housewife or else,” Danny? Anyway, after a few hot kisses, <...> - by TV Line [Kimberly Roots]
