Suits spin-off with Gina Torres casts Breaking Bad favourite - DigitalSpy.com - according to Digitalspy

"I get that it's pretend," she said. "It's not like I text like Marie all day and expect you guys to show up at my house wearing purple… It was so fun to be a part of that relationship... And I just thought, 'Hank should be in the world', you know?"

'Pearson': Betsy Brandt Cast in 'Suits' Spinoff - TVLine - according to Tvline

The offshoot follows Jessica Pearson (played once again by Suits alum Gina Torres) as she enters the dirty world of politics and becomes the right-hand fixer for Mayor Bobby Novak (Homeland‘s Morgan Spector). Brandt’s Stephanie Novak is a former lawyer, who is now a full-time mother and a loyal behind-the-scenes spouse.

Wendell Pierce Exits USA Network's 'Suits' Ahead Of Its Last Season - UPROXX - by Uproxx

How Pierce was written out of the series is a little convoluted (as is often the case with Suits), but basically amounted to Robert Zane taking the blame — and being disbarred — for a mistake that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) made in breaking attorney-client privilege. We’ll ignore the fact that the offense likely did not rise to the level of a lifetime disbarment, particularly on a show where its lead character practiced without a license for several years, served a bit in prison for that offense, and returned to the practice of law even though he’d never attended law school). Narratively speaking, the important thing Zane’s disbarment sets up is that Katherine Heigl’s character will go into her final season without her mentor, mirroring Harvey’s challenge after Jessica Pearson (Torres) left.

'Suits' Renewed for Final Season 9 at USA Network - TVLine - according to Tvline

“Though I know it isn’t true, it seems like only yesterday USA Network took a chance on an unestablished writer’s very first hour long script. These days that’s a common thing, but 47 years ago when I first wrote the Untitled Korsh Project, nobody did it. Nobody except the people at USA and [Universal Cable Productions]. First and foremost I would like to thank Alex Sepiol and Dennis Kim, without whom Suits would never have gotten made. I also cannot thank Bill McGoldrick, Jeff Wachtel, Bonnie Hammer, Chris McCumber, Ted Chervin, Dave Bartis, Gene Klein, Doug Liman, Dawn Olmstead and everyone at the network and studio enough for their dedication and support throughout the years. And to the exceptional writers, cast and crew — thank you for your passion and devotion, without which, Suits would be nothing. And last but never least, to the fans who have stuck with the Suits family through thick and thin, through can-openers and flashbacks — thank you for always speaking your mind. Without you, I might start to think I’m getting the hang of this writing thing. And once that happens, nobody wins. I look forward to enraging and hopefully sometimes delighting you with the final episodes. Finally, to my wife Kate and my children Cooper and Lucy. Thank you for enduring countless late nights and times away, for me to get to live my dream. I love you. Love, Aaron”
