Is 'Riviera' On Netflix? The Nail-Biting Sky Drama Is Back - Bustle - via Bustle

When Riveria first aired in 2017, it quickly became "Sky's most successful original commission to date with an audience of 2.3m per episode, and over 20m downloads views in total," as Sky cites in the season two press release. Basically, it's a series you need to add to your watchlist, stat.

Riviera is a thrilling, glamorous drama which follows the lives of the wealthy and beautiful on the Côte d'Azur. The first series tells the story of the family of billionaire banker, Constantine Clios, and his wife Georgina (played by Julia Stiles) - whose life is turned upside down when her husband is suddenly killed in a yacht explosion. But what really happened that night? Season one delves into the deepest, darkest secrets of the family as Georgina attempts to get to the bottom of it all.

Bafflingly, however, it transpired  to be the channel’s most successful original drama ratings-wise, with 2.3 million viewers per episode. Since then, Sky’s drama output has been on the up – see recent gems Chernobyl, Save Me and Patrick Melrose – so perhaps Riviera had raised its game too? DP nailed this look. She was one of the best dressed for the day. Variety was quick to point that out on their Social Media. Loved her lower lid winged liner and the hair do. The gown is spectacular - with the big bow making the dress.

This hotel is one of those Cannes stories. Last year another journalist and I turned over $250 apiece to a perky, Paris-based but purely American publicist — call her Miss P — who said she’d found us coveted lodging. Someone was selling rights to two festival reservations he’d “owned” for years, she said, and now we would have the rooms “for life” or could sell them if we so chose. During our stay, a friendly desk clerk informed us that the hotel, under new management, had been closed the previous year for renovation, and that Miss P herself had simply reserved our rooms. After we went home, the concierge later reported, she stopped by to reregister us, in case we’d merely assumed “owner’s rights.”
