Original actress Nathalie Kelley revealed she was leaving earlier in the year, referring to her character’s fate when she told E News: “Is it a coma? Is it death? … I actually don’t know. But I know that I’m not going to Atlanta in July... I’ve got my life back.”

As you’ll recall, Dynasty‘s first season ended on a cliffhanger, with Cristal — played at the time by Nathalie Kelley — getting shot in the stomach and trapped in a fire. In June, Kelley spoiled her character’s ultimate demise by revealing she wouldn’t be returning to film any Season 2 scenes.

It’s nice that the true fans are passionate about Dynasty, because the ratings for the show have been so-so since it started. As reported by Deadline, what’s probably saved the show is the fact that it has a “lucrative distribution deal” with Netflix for CBS TV Studios — the CW is owned by CBS, so there’s some serious money to be made behind the show in distribution, streaming, and syndication, should it reach the appropriate number of episodes. Deadline also reported that Nicolette Sheridan’s introduction as Alexis Carrington cause an increase in viewership, so perhaps it’s a sign of good things to come.

Before Steven and Sammy Jo’s wedding, the Colbys force a grandchild vote to sell the company and Adam votes to sell along with the Colbys, claiming that he has spent his life living on Blake’s “scraps.”

Previously on Dynasty: Alexis loses control of her plan with the Colbys. Fallon challenges Blake for control of the family's company only to learn she's not the only one with a claim to the throne. Sammy Jo and Steven prepare to tie the knot, but an unexpected guest causes all hell to break loose.

Critics Reviews

The problem here is that Fallon does love Liam. She does and she can’t deny it, even by accepting Michael’s marriage proposal. Fallon is in love with two men, as evidenced by the threesome shower dream. She’ll have to come to terms with her true feelings soon before she walks to the altar yet again. I’m excited about this plot because Fallon has amazing romantic chemistry with both Michael and Liam–there’s a lot of passion between them. You can feel Fallon’s desire for both men and the conflict she’s going through. The battle between #TeamCulhane and #TeamLiam is going to heat up!
