Season 2 of Christina Milian Turned Up is in full swing and the season begins with a very serious issue. Milian's sister Danielle and her husband Richard Dickerson discuss terminating their pregnancy when they find out that their baby son has complications in the womb. Danielle explains: On top of having all of his organs exposed, my son also has a rotated heart and it's lying down 90 degrees which means it's laying down flat, and we're not sure whether that's going to be an additional difficulty that he's going to have to have surgery for. When the liver's included in the herniation it has 57 percent mortality rate and that's really hard to hear. I'm at a point in the pregnancy where I only have a few weeks left to decide whether I'm going to follow through with this pregnancy or terminate. The couple decides to keep the baby even though he has omphalocele. Unfortunately, over the summer, just hours after the baby was born, he passed away. Danielle released the following statement about the tragedy: Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye. I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways. When they first found out the news of their son's condition, Danielle stated that: The tech said, 'I can't see the sex...because I am seeing...intestines.' I was told there's almost a 53 percent chance of mortality.
