I have been a Carpenter for over 30 years and really enjoy Skip and Adam and Thier views on the work done and what they are doing as well!!!!! The amount of horrible craftsmanship needs to be addressed!!! Bad contractors need to be exposed for who and what they are!!! They are doing a great service to homeowners!!! Please bring the show back!!!! Thanks!

My parents had issues with contractors back in 1963. I wish the show was on then in the NY area to help out.
Not every contractor is a crook, but there are enough of them around to make them all look bad.
Common Adam, bring the show back and expose the crooks making contractors look bad…

May I say that Adam wasn’t even born yet,I kinda doubt if Skip or his wife was either. I know being that is my yr..the concept wouldn’t have been thought of until the 21st Century.

I’ve enjoyed watching so-called contractors/self per-claimed contractors get caught. The idea is a very good one, like Skip always points out;these bad contractors make give real ones like Skip a bad name,it does include Adam’s work as a contractor. This should be in done every State including Canada(Mike Holmes(Holmes on Homes) is there repairing bad construction work for many years).

Funny enough a couple they painted positively. Either taking there side against the family or at least showing them as not incompetent but rather poorly managing shitty employees

How do we get your help we paid a contractor to remodel put an addition and a garage hired him late summer 2015
Was supposed to be move-in ready April 1, 2016
Contractor did not pull any permits remodeled some of the inside no flooring down nor trim down nothing started on the addition or on the garage or house is unlivable at this point he was supposed to side the entire house with new roof he’s done plumbing work and heat duct work sided two sides of the house and walked off the job he was asking for more money when we already paid 50% down
I had another contractor out here and they said 15 to 20% of the work has been done and that’s it
I can go on and on about his poor quality and failure to communicate can give you much more after checking the Internet I have seen he has done this same thing to at least three other people in this area
the previous contractor had well over six months to complete the project
Please help I’m lost

Hello. Anyone out there want to hear my story? I purchased my home in Maine in 2014. It was a true fixer upper, but livable. In January 2016, after one plus years of speaking and getting to know this gentleman, I decided to go into contract with him on the remodel of my home. He is a general contractor in the area who supposedly had a good reputation. Timeline to finish my house turnkey was in May 2016. Permits were pulled and demo and construction started to happen. Extra work was needed for the structure, as per the inspector, so I fronted extra money for that work. A few months in, and the contract due date was up, I had pretty much put in all of the money for the bid. Since I am living in Connecticut, it was difficult for me to stay glued to the remodel, and I was taking the word of my contractor, who I thought I befriended, that everything was going smoothly. Well, it wasn’t. Then what happened? My contractor left the job. He’s blocked my calls, messages, social media attempts of contacting him, he has moved from his last known address. I am left with a gutted house, no plumbing, no windows, no siding, no interior work done, basically a skeleton with a shell. And I’m out in the high 5 figures…any reasonable and sensible emails or comments will be greatly appreciated. This is the type of thing that needs to be on TV, and these are the type of contractors that need to be behind bars…[email protected]

love this show. The guys are a GOD send for us poor ppl that have been ripped off by a contractor. Thank you for doing this show, it gives me great satisfaction to know these guys (some of them anyway) are getting caught. Would love to see some f/u on the ones you all took to court. Please keep it up, we want more. The show hasn[t even had a chance to get known yet. Look how long it took for breaking bad to get popular, n it’s 4th yr! So come on lets see some more crackdown on nasty rip off, unqualified, idiot contractors!

please please bring the show back. Why would anyone cancel such a good show, but keep running BS like the kardashians. Let’s see some REAL shows like this, not some hack from Texas calling themselves Alaskans now because they bought a strip of property, kill every wild thing in sight so it soon looks just like Texas. (no trees, no wildlife except pigs because they lack respect) These guys are respectable, smart, and we love Skip’s wife and the roos they use. What guy (in his right mind) wouldn’t want to help her situation out, she’s beautiful and smart. The best thing about the show is they try to turn it into a teaching moment. As angry as the homeowners are, they get to say their piece, and the scumbag has a choice to de-escalate the situation or make it worse. The guys are so good at getting their point across yet allowing the contractor the chance to make it right. There are lessons in that show in many ways of how to do things right, get the job done, and how to turn a really bad situation into a (hopefully) win win situation for everyone. Why would you cancel such a great idea for a show. We also get to learn home improvement techniques that are good ideas and really bad ones. I beg you to reconsider your choice to cancel. Think of the endorsements you could get from home improvement companies, flooring, counters, insulation, windows, roofing….endless possibilities. You really need to give this show a chance. It also teaches responsibility, and lets contractors know if they walk out on a job, it could cost them. Surely you must have been overwhelmed with letters from ppl for help. Don’t let a good thing go, please.

Please bring back the show! There are so many dishonest contractors that are destroying our homes and bailing that need to be exposed!

I am literally homeless after hiring a nation-wide mold mitigation company who demo d my home up to the limits of a 10k policy, and then bailed. During the process they destroyed the entire contents of the home by allowing continuous mold growth by unplugging dehumidifiers to use outlets for their own equipment, charging their cell phones, etc. They did not cover anything allowing debris (dust, horse hair plaster and fiberglass/vermiculite insulation) from walls and ceilings to cover my everything that I own.

This show is such a needed service for hard working americans. I have read horror stories of what they have done to the elderly, who have already been traumatized by a flood, fire, illness, loss of family members, pets, etc., only to be victimized by these rutheless contractors who are making tons of money!

Please bring the show back.
